The so far in 2013, a number of impressive smartphone models have been released such as the HTC One, Sony Xperia Z and more recently the Samsung Galaxy S4. These are among the most impressive devices to have hit the market, so they are of course putting more pressure on Apple to produce the goods with its next iPhone release.
For a few months now, there have been plenty of rumours regarding the next instalment of Apple’s iconic smartphones series. Speculation has suggested that an iPhone 6, a budget iPhone model and an iPhone 5S are in the pipeline. Most attention has been paid to the latter, and a number of sources have suggested that the device is likely to hit the market this summer.
Although Apple is yet to officially announce this device, it appears that it is indeed set up for a summer launch. GSM Arena has recently reported on a leaked document from a Japanese mobile network operator. The document states that the iPhone 5S will be announced on June 20th, and released in July.
This is not the first time that there have been rumours about the possible launch date of the iPhone 5S, and although the credibility of this document cannot be fully verified at this point, it certainly backs up recent speculation.
The Apple iPhone 5S is rumoured to include the new iOS 7 operating system, an upgraded 13 megapixel rear facing camera and a two megapixel front facing camera with HD video capture. Of course, as Apple is yet to announce the device, we cannot to confirm its specifications, but it certainly fits in with Apple’s previous upgraded models like the iPhone 3GS and iPhone 4S.
We can expect much more news about the iPhone 5S to be revealed in the coming weeks, so as usual we will be sure to keep you posted with the latest updates.
